Nutritional Fundamentals for Health in Canada announced it is recalling 17,660 bottles of its Iron Dietary Supplement because they pose a risk of poisoning.
The company is recalling bottles of its NFH Iron SAP, NFH Heme Iron SAP and NFH Prenatal SAP because the packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
This bottles being recalled are white with the brand name “NFH” and the firm’s logo of a leaf in blue. The date code is on the bottom of the bottle. They come in various sizes.
The bottles were sold between March 2022 and December 2024 at multiple naturopathic/homeopathic clinics nationwide, as well as online at WholescriptsInc.com and Fullscript.com. They cost between $20 and $95, depending on the product and the size.
Anyone who bought these bottles should immediately put them out of sight and reach of children, and contact NFH for information on how to obtain a free replacement child-resistant bottle. This recall only includes the bottle, not the iron supplements.
